August & September ’26 Recap

·

7–11 minutes

The previous bimonthly blog (June & July) only had three photoshoots I could show you and talk about, but this one is a LOT more stacked with sessions to showcase. August and September were busy for sure. I found out the Dutch train company had a summer deal, you could pay €49 and travel for a month by train throughout the whole country for no extra fee. I took advantage of the offer and scheduled a bunch of photoshoots in August in places I otherwise would have a harder time getting to, financially. That was loads of fun!

And I was also on vacation with my dad, to Italy in the last week of August. I ate so much pizza and pasta, and we spent a lot of quality time together exploring Padova, Verona and Venice. But only a few days before I left to Italy my main LED light broke during a photosession… I honestly had no idea how I was going to replace it anytime soon. But after I mentioned it on my Instagram stories, some of you asked if you could chip in. And I raised enough to replace it within the same night! I’m so incredibly grateful for this community. The support means a lot to me <3

These two months I’ve done four photoshoots with returning pretty faces, and six sessions with people who were new in front of my lens. And I also have 4 mini sessions to show you from a bigger booking, continue down this blog article to learn about that experience…

03.08.26 | Leto

I was super excited about this shoot, and just about getting to meet this wonderful person in general. I’ve been ‘mutuals’ with Leto on Instagram for over 8 years, both involved in the alternative model/influencer scene & group chats. But she’s from the UK, so this was the first time we actually met IRL. I got to do her makeup, and she raided the Closet, picking out 2 gorgeous latex looks and a red lingerie set.

It was a lot of fun to hang out and get to know her and her partner, and she was a really great model as well, on top of just being a super sweet person.

10.08.26 | Roween

I’ve worked with Roween once or twice before I think, back in 2021. Even though we didn’t manage to work together again after, I’ve still been following her all this time, and wondered if she’d like to do another shoot together. She luckily loved the idea and this time I travelled down south to Tilburg for the session.

It was very nice to catch up with her, and it was a VERY productive 2.5hr shoot. We shot SIX separate photosets! That’s what you call an efficient team. No wonder, because Roween is a super skilled and experienced model, and really easy to work with.

12.08.26 | Stephanie

Stephanie is an amazing fashion designer whom I’ve worked with a few times before, but this time she took the role of the model, rather than designer/stylist. She’d mentioned she lived in a really big, beautiful house, but we couldn’t make the photoshoot work before because it’s very far from Amsterdam.

But I could finally make it work now with the train thing, and when I enter the villa I was shooketh. This house was a piece of art already by itself. I was in awe of the wooden panelling, murals, and even astrological art on the ceiling.

We got to work, and for the outfit we used a lot of pieces she’d requested I’d bring from the Closet, and combined them with her own designs. She did very well at posing too, I barely had to give any directions and it was a pleasant creative collaboration.

13.08.26 | Nova

Nova isn’t new here on the blog, I’ve worked with her a handful of times. We always get along well and our conversations can never stay surface level for very long. We hadn’t met up and worked together in a while, so I was happy to travel her way this time to catch up, as a model and a friend.

She has discovered a love for DJ-ing, and explained the slightly derogatory term “bedroom DJ” to me, and that she thought I’d be fun to do a shoot of her playing a set in her bedroom, to poke fun at the whole concept. We also went for a walk in the park and took some pictures there, and we ended the afternoon with a boudoir session in her living room.

19.08.26 | Curvyredvy

Redvy is an F2F creator I hadn’t yet worked with, but I’m glad we have now! We started our shoot outside, with a cute little white dress. We then went back inside for the boudoir portion of the photoshoot, unfortunately this was the day my LED panel died, so I did have to improvise a bit when lighting these two sets, and later when editing them.

The blue set is the first one of a monochrome series I’ll be doing over the next few weeks/months, so stay tuned for the next colours!

Redvy was nice to work with and super sweet – she gifted me an enormous jar of chocolates <3

20.08.26 | Bobby not Sorry

Yet another new face, namely Bobby not Sorry. I found them through Instagram, he’s in the Amsterdam burlesque scene. I’ve worked with many people from the Amsterdam School of Burlesque over the years, and it’s a small world after all. Bobby stood out to me as their look is unique. Less classic vintage burlesque and pin-up aesthetics, and more flamboyant masculinity and artistic expression.

He’s clearly a very creative person, they’ve created their outfits themselves! I loved working with them, even though I sometimes blanked a bit when it came to posing. I am specialized in highlighting femininity after all, and even though I love working with masc and androgynous people, I did need some extra time to come up with poses that would work for him. Luckily he was a natural in front of the camera, so he didn’t need much help anyways!

30.08.26 | Gabriëlle

Gabriëlle and I have collaborated a handful of times now over the years, and she was a joy to work with and hang out with, just like the previous times. We shot the second colour in the monochrome series, purple! She admitted to me she was still working on her confidence and relationship with her body, after becoming a mother.

I just want to copy and paste her own words here about our session: “Becoming a mom was the most beautiful thing that ever happened to me, but it also changed me in ways I wasn’t prepared for. My body changed. My confidence changed. Somewhere along the way, my spark and my edge got a little lost. This shoot was my way of taking a little bit of that back. Not because I suddenly love everything I see, but because I’m tired of hiding while I figure it out.”

05.09.26 | Saar

Yet another girlie with colourful hair haha. Saar is actually a hairdresser specialized in colour, and she even guessed which dye I use for my pink fringe (Directions ‘Cerise’) just from sight, so it was nice to have a topic to chat about as we were getting to know each other for this first time working together! Her yellow hair also worked perfectly for the monochrome series, so yellow is now also checked off the rainbow-list.

But we were also a very productive team, because we shot three super nice photosets together. She brought really nice outfit options and even a whole stack of vintage Playboy magazines to use as props. I think we got along super well and I am in love with the results of this photoshoot.

11.09.26 | Raumuse

So for this first photoset with Raum I went a little insane. Before she even arrived I had built a rather elaborate decor with tons of flowers, some fake (which I just returned to the shop afterwards – hihi) but most real. I love how Raumuse matched the aesthetic with beautiful pastel lingerie!

You can tell she is also an artist, we were able to collaborate very well and work on each other’s visions for all four photosets we did this day. All 4 had completely different vibes and themes – but I personally think we nailed them all! She was super good with her posing, she really embodied each theme in her poses as well and she needed barely any direction from me.

14.09.26 | Door2Door

In February in 2025, I got booked by Door2Door, the information and service center for sex workers in Rotterdam. They are there to support people in the adult industry, and I really liked that photoshoot day last year. So I was over the moon when they asked me back, to do a similar mini-shoot day. This time it was part of their celebration of Sex Work Pride.

Participants could register a time slot with Door2Door for their mini session with me, and then we took some lovely photos for 20 minutes each, that they can use for their ads, social media, or just to keep for themselves as a nice treat! These are are few of the people I had the honor of working with, and of whom I got permission to post their results of (some are made anonymous for privacy reasons).

29.09.26 | Mary Jane

MJ is also someone I didn’t work with before, she is a F2F content creator. We hadn’t really planned anything out in advance, but she had a nice variety of lingerie and kinky outfits with her so we could figure out looks on the spot. We shot 2 classic lingerie looks, 1 more playful one in a crop top, and ended the session with a kinky red latex-look outfit and a bullwhip.

I always think it’s really nice to do multiple very different kinds of outfits in 1 photo session. I also switch out the backdrops completely as the client or model changes into her next look. This way it looks as if you’ve done many photoshoots instead of just one, haha!
