Swan’s Seduction started as a way to stay sane.
Back in the lockdowns, when time blurred and days felt endless, I picked up my camera to photograph friends and alternative models I found on Instagram. It gave me a reason to connect, to create, and to remember who I was outside of isolation. What started as a little creative outlet quickly turned into something that now feels essential both for me, and for the people I work with.
Today, Swan’s Seduction is so much more than a photography business. It’s a space where I get to work on my own terms, in ways that honour my energy, my neurodivergent brain, and even my hormone cycle. I can plan shoots when I’m feeling social and creative, and take time to edit and create content at home when I need to recharge. That flexibility is everything, and it means I show up fully when I’m with a client.
But the real magic happens during the shoots.
It’s in the moment someone sees their reflection after I’ve done their makeup and they quietly say:
“Wow… is that me?”
It’s when a new mom sees her pregnant body through a lens that feels powerful instead of uncomfortable.
Or when someone leaves the studio visibly taller, bolder, more at home in their skin. And yes, sometimes it’s just a fun afternoon with music, posing tips, good lighting, and a lot of laughing.
The people I photograph (women, queer folks, alternative girlies, gender-expansive babes) bring so much energy into the space.
It feels like such a gift to help them see what the rest of us already do.
If you’ve ever been curious about doing a shoot, I’d love to hear from you.
No pressure, no perfection, just a space where you get to show up as yourself and maybe leave feeling a little more seen. And hey, you at least get amazing pictures out of it, that you can later look back to, and think
“Wow, I was hot. I AM hot.”
